It is beneficial for first time home buyers to get pre approved for a mortgage. It is hard to shop around for a house for months without any luck. Half of this is probably because the mortgage process is somewhat daunting. And because it takes so long, people begin searching without knowing what they will be approved for. When getting pre-approved for a mortgage, it will cut the process down, and in addition, will narrow down the housing search. This could be especially frustrating to the new family still renting out a house each month. It would help much more to have a house to call home. Suppose a family has been house shopping for months with no success. On day they will finally find the house that seems so perfect. Once they see they have found a house that seems so attractive and they can afford the house, it makes sense to just jump right into the paper signing on the mortgage home loan. There should be no question into why not, since the house is such a perfect fit. Now, all it takes is for the new homeowners to obtain the financing needed from the bank or lender. Everyone seems so happy and excited that they family finally found the right house. Plans are made, and the moving process begins. The mortgage papers are filled out, and the process begins. Because of the excitement, they have even bought some things needed in the new house such as curtains, decorations and the like. Yet, there is still no approval call from the bank. But in all of the excitement, this is the last thing on the mind. And then the call comes. One day the bank loan officer calls and says the home loan application has been rejected. Most likely, for most first time home buyers, it is because the current income level of a family is not enough to cover up the expenses such as the mortgage, homeowner's insurance, and property taxes. And like that, the dream is over. The house can no longer be the perfect fit, because the family was no pre approved for the mortgage. What is worse than hearing that someone has been rejected of a home mortgage is that they had already begun the planning and what not. Furthermore, the actual loan process including the application, the hiring of a mortgage broker, and all the appraisals, etc are non refundable. This is easy to avoid, and much stress can be prevented if the first thing that is done before looking for a house is to get pre approved for a mortgage. It will cost money no matter what, but it will cost less to get pre approved for a mortgage before looking for a house and not being able to move in. Being pre approved for a mortgage is truly beneficial in many ways. As soon as someone has the computation of how much they can afford to borrow, they can start searching for the home that is within the budget. As soon as they found the right house for the current situation, and contact the seller, even if the seller gains multiple offers, if the seller knew that someone has been pre-approved for a mortgage, that person will become more desirable by the seller. The seller tends to go to the buyer who has a pre-approved mortgage.
